KidZania’s CongreZZ kids cooked up a storm this week as they prepared a banquet for the children of Hilla Community Centre, a not-for-profit organisation which helps refugee communities.
The banquet marked the launch of KidZania Kuala Lumpur’s KidZ vs Food 3.0, a holiday programme specially curated for kids, with daily and weekend activities that show children how to work with and appreciate food.
Now in its third year, the launch event treated children from the Centre to a meal of turmeric chicken and long beans served with rice, and banana chocolate rolls for dessert, all prepared and served by CongreZZ kids with the help of professional Chef Brian Chen from the Young Chefs Academy (YCA).
The KidZ vs Food 3.0 programme categories include the Pop Up Kitchen and Drink Station activities to guide kids through simple food and beverage recipes, while Food Science activities allow kids to “play” with ingredients through experiments like Ice Fishing. Meanwhile, Food Art gives children the chance to be creative and the Parent & Kid Cooking Workshops will feature a different family-friendly recipe each weekend, such as cinnamon rolls and “spinach & cheese pull apart bread”.
KidZ vs Food 3.0, which is from Nov 24 till Dec 31, 2018, is supported by Emborg, F&N, Kewpie Malaysia, MAMEE, Mission Foods, Malaysia Palm Oil Council, SHARP, Spritzer and Young Chefs Academy.
