Over 3,600 children got a chance to attend an exclusive movie screening of Peter Rabbit in 24 MBO outlets in the country. The Kiwanis-MBO Mega Movie Treats 2.0 was jointly organised by MBO Cinemas and Kiwanis Malaysia.

At MBO Starling, Kiwanis Malaysia’s royal patron, Sultanah of Pahang Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom, joined about 150 children from Kiwanis Malaysia and JCI Malaysia for the movie.

District Governor of Kiwanis Malaysia, Dr Mario Del Castillo, expressed his delight on the coming together of different organisations to create a positive impact on the lives of underprivileged and challenged kids in Malaysia.

The 24 MBO Cinemas that took part were in Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, Klang, Ipoh, Kuantan, Johor Baru, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Kota Tinggi, Malacca, Seremban, Teluk Intan, Taiping, Alor Setar, Kulim, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching.

This is the second time the Kiwanis-MBO Mega Movie Treats is being held following its success last year where it was certified by the Malaysia Book of Records as the largest simultaneous participation of underprivileged children in a movie screening.
